My research sits at the interface between microscopy and nuclear cell biology, focusing on mRNA transport and nucleocytoplasmic exchange. This work critically depends on rigorous, reproducible imaging. As a leading member of QUAREP-LiMi, I help define quality-control metrics for light microscopy. As a co-author of the LiMi-Model, I helped extend the OME framework to capture the hardware description metadata those QC metrics require. Imaging-PHD matters directly here: it links image provenance to downstream analysis, letting me trace results back to acquisition and QC status — turning reproducibility from a community standard into a property of every dataset I produce.
