Dr. Adrian Zai is a physician–scientist and national leader in biomedical informatics who, as UMass Chan Medical School’s Chief Research Informatics Officer, builds secure, interoperable data and AI systems for translational research and patient care, directing the CTSA-funded Research Informatics Core, the PLUM data-and-AI platform, and the Massachusetts AI Assurance for Healthcare (MAIAH) Lab. He also contributes to national AI governance through the CTSA PATH Workgroup and the NIH AIM-AHEAD Federated Network, building on prior leadership roles at Massachusetts General Hospital and Mass General Brigham.
